A product that has gained a lot of popularity due to it's effectiveness amoung South Africans, Duromine is primarily formulated as an appetite suppressant by use of it's powerful active ingredients. These ingredients are extremely effective at helping with weightloss. However, there are some major draw backs that has caused this product to drop to #2 on our list. Here's why...
This product is extremely effective in terms of how much weight it will help you lose. I got it after seeing my Dr which cost me around R1000 and gave it a try. The product kicked in after a few days and virtually made my appetite disappear.
The result? I lost 5kgs in 1 month. A bit of research online showed me that my results are very typical. So if you do use the product you can expect something similar.
So if it's that great, why didn't it beat CheetaThin™ and take the #1 spot on our list?
Frankly, because the active ingredient used in Duromine is in our opinion way too over-the-top. Again, we push for balance, not bravado.
Which brings me to...
The active ingredient used in Duromine is a schedule 5 ingredient called tertiary-butylamine. This ingredient heavily focuses on acting as an appetite suppressant and is heavily regulated because of it's adverse side-effects. So it does work, however based on my experience you need more from a product to lose weight effectively.
If you've heard me talk about the 3 most important aspects of weight-loss, you'll know that a high quality product needs to 1) give you energy, 2) boost your metabolsim and 3) suppress your appetite.
Unfortunately Duromine doesn't give you energy, nor does it speed up your metabolsim. In fact, it focuses so heavily on suppressing your appetite that it comes with severe side-effects, which is why we dropped it to #2 on our list.
The side-effects associated with Duromine are; sluggishness, sleeplessness, increased heart rate, tingling or prickling feeling in hands or feet, dry mouth, anxiety and constipation.
While taking the product, I personally felt very sluggish all day long. I found it very difficult to do my every day tasks. And, I LOVE my sleep. So using a product that affected my sleep was a big no no for me.
Money Back Guarantee
Duromine is classified as a schedule 5 product which means you can only buy it over the counter after seeing your doctor. Your Dr charges you per visit, (around R1000,) so there is no way of getting your money back for the consultation.
The company has been running for decades in South Africa and is internationally known. I couldn't find out if the product is actually locally manufactured, however the product is manufactured in a GMP certified facility and all certifications are in place.
They have no online presence and no customer support. You can only get the product by getting a perscription from your Dr.
Duromine works extremely well as a weight-loss product, however for me a product needs to do more than just help suppress my appetite. I lacked energy while using this product and got very little sleep, which was a huge con for me. Overall, I would recommend this weight-loss product with caution if you are not prone to side-effects, and if you have the time and money to go and see a Dr.
